About Us

Mikes Computer Repair Shop has been in business for the past 20 years. Mike earned a degree in Computer science at his local University. After graduation, Mike worked on many various computers of varying types at various companies. Eventually, Mike decided to open his own repair shop to help anyone with computer problems. Uncle Mikes Computer Repair was born and helping people ever since.

Documentation of the Development Process

The intent and purpose of this website is to increase exposure to Uncle Mikes Computer Repair shop. Currently the repair shop is operated locally. This website is developed with a goal to increase exposure locally to potential clients within the same city. The steps taken to meet the objectives are to keep the site easy to navigate. The color scheme and layout of the site is intended to be simple for ease of navigation. The header and footer remain consistent, leaving the body of the page available for new content. This will keep the objective of ease of navigation.

Defense of the Final Product

The reason for the design choices made was to allow for ease of use. I choose to use minimal and neutral colors for the color scheme. This decision was made to prevent the site from being too distracting with colors, but still there to keep the site from looking stale. I also choose to keep the header and footer constant for ease of use. This will make it easier for the end user to locate the information on each page. The font style and size was made basic so the end user is able to easily read the content on the page.

Opportunities for Improvement and Growth

I have many plans for growth within this site. As the company grows, I would like to see a page created for ratings and reviews from clients. I would also like to see social media integration so the site can reach a bigger audience on the different social media platforms. One of the largest plans for the site will be to allow clients to start a repair nationwide. This will include the option to pay for repairs on the site.
